Things I've learnt from my second visit of the year to Edinburgh for work:
1. Candles and paper menu's don't mix and to put the flames out, bashing with the back of a spoon works better than flapping it around.
3. On the very rare occasion that I get a room with a view, the weather will be shite.
4. When taking advantage of a hotel's provision of a non-slip mat in the bath/shower, it is advisable to actually step straight onto said mat otherwise you are liable to 'slip' bashing your leg against the bath, which is quite painful and results in an impressive but unsightly bruise.
