Not an official one but my last three outings have been to see foreign films all of which I've indulged in more detailed reviews on over at Rev Stan's film blog. Links to individual films included if you are interested.
First up was Aussie offering Samson & Delilah which is a virtually silent love story but failed to fully connect.
Second was Lourdes about a quadriplegic visiting the French pilgrimage town and experience how own miracle in a thought provoking and moving piece of cinema.
And thirdly, I Am Love, an Italian offering that is breath-takingly beautiful but maybe just a bit too much but hey it's got the marvellously elegant Tilda Swinton in it and I want to be her.
I've also been hitting the theatre hard in recent weeks and have a whole back log of stuff to write about which I will get onto highlights include Kim Cattrall spitting a bread roll at a women in the front row and my first interactive play in which I nearly had an argument with another member of the audience.
And I think after all that culture I'm going to have to go and see something a bit lowbrow at the weekend just to remind me of me 'umble roots. Got a Philip Ridley play to see first on Friday night. It's about the BNP so in true Ridley style, I'm not expecting it to be an easy evenings viewing. I've got a front row ticket - no one else seemed to be booking them so I'm worried they know something I don't...
